Adopting changes to attribute and link labels or values

Adopt changes that were made to attribute and link labels or enumerated values in the type system after the attributes and links were added to a global configuration.

Configuration leads can change attribute and link labels or values in the type system for configurations or components to suit project needs. However, existing configurations and components that are affected aren't updated automatically. You cannot discover the change until you edit a component or configuration that uses the attribute or enumerated value, at which point you see a message similar to the following image:

For example, you set the Style custom attribute to Standard on your SGC 1.1 Development global configuration. Later, the configuration lead renames the Standard style to Economy in the type system. Then, when you edit the SGC 1.1 Development global configuration for the Style custom attribute, a message alerts you about the attribute value change.
