Uninstalling interim fixes from Engineering Lifecycle Management server

Uninstalling the server includes removing the contents of server from the specific directory and rolling back to the backed up version.

Procedure

  1. Stop the Engineering Lifecycle Management server.
  2. Take a back up and then remove the contents of the following directory <server_installation_directory>/server/patch. If a previous interim fix was in place before the upgrade, restore it from the backup.
  3. Clear the application server cache. For instructions on clearing the cache, consult the application server's detailed documentation.
  4. Start the Engineering Lifecycle Management server.
  5. Run repotools-<app> -clean for each application that is installed.
    • - repotools-ccm -clean
    • - repotools-gc -clean
    • - repotools-jts -clean
    • - repotools-qm -clean
    • - repotools-relm -clean
    • - repotools-rm -clean
    • - repotools-dcc -clean
  6. To validate that the server is successfully installed or uninstalled, complete the following steps:
    • After the server starts, open an Engineering Lifecycle Management application.
    • Click Help > About the Server.
    • In the Build Information section, review the interim fix information to confirm that it is either installed or uninstalled.
