Moving reports or folders
You can organize reports or folders by moving them within different folders.
About this task
You can move a single report or folder or multiple reports and folders within the Reports tab listing.
Procedure
- In a text editor, create a new file.

Move a single report or folder or multiple items by using the Move
action or by dragging.
- To move a single item by dragging, click the drag handle icon for the item, then move over the target folder and drop the item.
- To move multiple items by dragging, click the checkbox for the corresponding items. Click the drag handle for any one of the selected items and then move over the target folder and drop them.
- To move a single item using the Move action, click the More actions icon for the corresponding item.
- To move multiple items by using the Move action, click the checkbox for the corresponding items.

From the list of actions, click Move.
A dialog window displays, where you can select the folder to move the selected items.

A dialog opens. You can select the folder to move the selected items.

Locate the folder where you want to move the selected items by navigating into folders or by
searching.
To search for a specific folder, complete the following steps:
- Specify the folder name in the search field and press Enter.
- From the search result that is listed, select the destination folder. Note: The parent folder is shown for each search result. Hover over the parent folder to see the complete folder path or click the parent folder to navigate to it.
- Optional:
Rename a folder by using the inline edit option.
- Hover over the folder that you want to rename and click the Edit name action.
- Enter a folder name and press Enter or Tab. The folder name is saved.
- Optional:
Create a folder and move your selected items to that folder.
- Click the Create folder icon. An input field displays on top of the folder list.
- Enter a folder name and press Enter or Tab to create the folder. The newly created folder is automatically selected to help you directly move to the new folder.

To update the location of the selected reports, click Move. A
notification message is displayed to show that the item is successfully moved.
Note:
- You can view your current folder path at the top of the pop-up window.
- If a destination folder is not selected, then the item is moved to the current directory.
- Some folders cannot be selected or navigated to, such as the current folder that the items are in.
Tip: If you move items by mistake, for a short amount of time, you can undo the move action.
