Importing certificates and configuring browsers for Report Builder reports

To access Report Builder reports on Jazz dashboards, your browser must have a valid certificate from the server that runs Report Builder. Complete this task only if a Jazz administrator or project administrator gives you a self-signed certificate or a PKCS12 (.p12) file to install in your browser.

Before you begin

You do not have to complete this task if your organization purchases certificates from a certificate authority; a Jazz administrator or project administrator installs these certificates on the Report Builder server.

If your organization does not purchase secure socket layer (SSL) certificates from a certifying authority, you must complete one of the following steps:
  • Install a self-signed certificate for your browser.
  • Import a Personal Information Exchange Syntax Standard (PKCS #12) file into the certificate store of your browser. A PKCS#12 file has .p12 as a file name extension. Typically, an administrator with JazzAdmins or JazzProjectAdmins privileges provides this file and a corresponding password.
