Stopping and restarting the ClearQuest Gateway

After you define your synchronization rules, you must reset the ClearQuest® Gateway so that it is initialized to use the new rules.

About this task

On Windows, you can use the ClearQuest Synchronizer Setup Wizard to reset the Gateway. On Linux®, you must stop and restart the Gateway.

Procedure

Perform one of the following steps:
  • On Windows, start the ClearQuest Synchronizer Setup Wizard. Click Reset Gateway.
  • On Windows, if the Tomcat console is still open, click the Close icon (X). Navigate to the install-dir\gateway directory. Run the server.startup command.
  • On Linux, enter the command kill -9 process-ID. Navigate to the install-dir\gateway directory. Run the server.startup command.
