Installing and setting up

During this phase, the team installs the Jazz® Team Server and the associated applications, that is, Change and Configuration Management (CCM), Quality Management (QM), and Requirements Management (RM). When installation is complete, the team performs the necessary steps to set up the server environment.

To install the software and configure the environment, the team performs the following steps:

  1. The team identifies the computers on which to install the server and plans the deployment.
  2. The designated installer performs the installation, sets up the database, and deploys the server.
  3. The system administrator configures the server by running the server setup wizard, creating users, creating projects, and assigning roles.
