Lesson 2: Create a risk action

In the last lesson, you defined a risk. Now, you will create a Risk Action work item in which you can track your efforts to use a strategy to counter the risk.

About this task

After you complete this lesson, you will know how to create a Risk Action work item and what type of strategy to use to counter a risk. Mitigation strategies describe the tasks that you can do now to prevent problems that are related to risks. Contingency plans describe the tasks to do when a risk occurs. Avoidance strategies describe not doing a task because it might cause risks. In this lesson, to prevent the risk of having a user interface that is not intuitive, you add a mitigation strategy to create a user interface guide.
Tip: You can create a risk action in the web or Eclipse clients. For more information about creating risk action in the Eclipse client, see Create risk action
