Installing IBM® Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Publishing Document Builder involves the new interim fixes to the installed software.

Before you begin

Close all the running instances of Publishing Document Builder.

Procedure

  1. Extract the interim fix .zip file where the Publishing Document Builder is installed.
  2. Open the IBM Installation Manager, click File > Preferences > Repositories > Add Repository, and then change the file path to the extracted folder that you are using.
  3. Click OK to close the Preferences window.
  4. From the menu, click File > Preferences and then click Files for Rollback.
    Note: Make sure that the Save files for rollback checkbox is selected.
  5. In the IBM Installation Manager, click Install.
  6. Select the IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Publishing Document Builder package group and then click Next.
  7. Select the version that you want to update and then click Next.
  8. If you agree to the terms, accept the license agreement and then click Install.
  9. In the Web Application Servers page of the Common Configurations window, select the Install Application WAR files checkbox and then click Install.
  10. Click Finish to complete the installation.

What to do next

You need to deploy the rpeng.war and the dgaas.war files, or the com.ibm.rpe.web.app.ear file, which are located in the Publishing Document Builder installation directory, to your application server.
