Specifying custom color settings

You can use the color selection window that the operating system provides to select custom colors for your Eclipse product.

Before you begin

Important: In Windows, the color selection window does not respond properly to assistive technology. When you first open the window, the focus is on one of the basic colors, but the screen reader or other assistive technology does not notify you.

Procedure

  1. Click Window > Preferences > General > Appearance > Colors and Fonts.
  2. Expand a view name or Basic and select an item to customize.
Example: Select Basic > Error text color.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Select a basic color or click Define Custom Colors to select another color.
  5. Click OK to close the Color window.
  6. Click Apply and OK to close the Preferences window.
