Configuring pre-receive hooks in GitHub Enterprise

After you create a pre-receive hook in GitHub Enterprise, you need to configure it.

About this task

Pre-receive hooks in GitHub can be enforced at the GitHub organization level or in each GitHub repository. The following steps assume that the pre-receive hooks are enforced for a GitHub repository.

Procedure

  1. In a web browser, open the GitHub repository.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. In the navigation pane, click Hooks.
  4. In the Pre-receive hooks section, find your hook, then click Enable.
