Installing IBM Engineering Workflow Management ClearQuest Synchronizer from a .zip file

The ClearQuest® Synchronizer can be installed on the build machines using a .zip file download.

About this task

The ClearQuest Gateway runs on an Apache Tomcat server. In releases prior to 6.0.1, the ClearQuest Synchronizer installation included Apache Tomcat. Beginning in 6.0.1, you must download the Tomcat archive file from the Apache Tomcat web site.

Procedure

  1. Download the ClearQuest Synchronizer .zip file.
  2. Extract the .zip file into a directory on your system.
  3. Download the Tomcat archive file from the Apache Tomcat web site. See Starting the ClearQuest Gateway.
  4. After the installation is complete, configure the ClearCase Synchronizer. For more information, see Deploying the ClearQuest(r) Synchronizer.
