Invalid user error

In the Git integration diagnostics page, if you see an issue with the invalid user category, complete these procedures to resolve the issue.

About this task

You can import or create a user profile in EWM to match the Git hosting server or configure an EWM functional user in the webhook.

Procedure

  1. Import or create a user profile to match the user profile information in the Git hosting server.
  2. Optional: If you encounter multiple issues in the “Invalid user” category for a Git repository, consider modifying the webhook with the EWM functional user. To add a functional user for an existing webhook:
    1. Open the Git repository registration page in EWM. To locate the registered Git repository in EWM, see Locating a Registered Git repository in EWM.
    2. Check whether the Hosting server field reflects the Git hosting server in which this Git repository is present.
    3. Click Add to insert a functional user. If a functional user exists, the Add button is unavailable.
    4. Click Edit and select a functional user. Click OK and then click Copy to copy the webhook URL.
    5. Locate the EWM webhook in Git repository and replace the webhook URL with the one copied from above step.
