Enabling users to use the extension

The repository or organization administrators must enable the users to use the extension. Use this extension to go to the linked work items from GitHub Enterprise commit page.

Before you begin

Set up an EWM webhook for the GitHub repository. For more information, see Configuring webhooks.
Install the IBM EWM Chrome extension. For more information, see Installing the IBM EWM Chrome extension
Configure the extension by providing the GitHub Enterprise server URLs in the extension. For more information, see Configuring the extension

Procedure

Open the GitHub Enterprise repository's home page in the browser.

The following message is displayed.

This repository is not linked to an Engineering Workflow Management server. To view links to Engineering Workflow Management work items in commit comments, you need to provide the URL of the Engineering Workflow Management server.
Click the Click Here link.
In the Custom tab, the following text fields are prefilled from the webhook configuration.

Name : EWM

URL :

Do not change the name field. The URL is picked from the webhook configuration. You can change the URL field, if needed.
Click the Add tab.
