You can access and customize a small dashboard from any
page while you work in the web client.
About this task
The mini dashboard is a small dashboard that can be opened
on demand or pinned to the web UI, so that it remains visible as you
work and view various pages in the web client.
Procedure
- To access your mini dashboard, click the vertical Mini Dashboard bar:
By default, it displays on the left side of the page. Click
anywhere on the web interface outside of the dashboard to minimize
it.
- Optional: To keep the mini dashboard open,
click the Pin icon (
).
- Optional: To dock the mini dashboard on the
right side of the page, click the Menu icon
(
),
and then click Dock on Right.
- Optional: To add widgets, click the Add Widget icon (
), and then select widgets from the Widget
Catalog. See Adding and configuring widgets for more information about widgets.
- Optional: To add a copy of a personal dashboard's
widget to your mini dashboard, click Duplicate widget in the widget's menu, then drag the new copy to the mini dashboard.
Guide lines show where the widget will display once you drop it.
Important: Dragging and dropping a widget removes
the widget from the source dashboard and adds it to the target dashboard.
What to do next
You can add an unlimited number of widgets to the mini dashboard,
but its limited real estate is best utilized by arranging the ones
that are highest priority or that you would most frequently access
at the top. To maximize the limited space, you can collapse widgets
and you can limit the number of items that display in lists such as
query results and news feeds.
