Adding the ClearQuest Chart widget on the dashboard

Learn how to add the ClearQuest® Chart widget on the dashboard.

About this task

After an administrator has configured a friend relationship between the Jazz® Team Server and a ClearQuest Web server, you can add the ClearQuest Chart widget on the dashboard to run a query hosted on the ClearQuest Web server and display the results in the widget. This lets you find and review existing ClearQuest records while using the web client.

The general procedures for adding, configuring, editing, and manipulating widgets on the dashboard are described in Adding and organizing content on a dashboard. This topic describes information that is specific to adding the ClearQuest Chart widget on the dashboard.

Procedure

  1. Click the Add Widget tab screen capture of the Add Widget tab on the dashboard. A widget catalog opens displaying the available widgets in the selected catalog.

  2. Expand the Select Catalog menu by clicking the down arrow screen capture of the down arrow button and select a ClearQuest schema repository and associated user database from the list of friends under the Friends heading.

    The Chart widget appears in the widget chooser catalog.

  3. Click the Add Widget button screen capture of the Add Widget button under the ClearQuest Chart widget. The widget is added to the dashboard at the top of the content column.

    screen capture of the ClearQuest Chart widget. You must log on to the ClearQuest user database to select a query to run and display the results in the Chart widget. Be sure to click Save on the dashboard toolbar to save the widget if Auto-save is disabled.
