You can test the network path latency of your IBM cloud data center.

About this task

To test your network path latency of your IBM cloud data center:

Procedure

  1. In a new browser window, type lg.softlayer.com:
    URL to test network path latency
  2. Read the agreement, and then click I agree.
  3. On the SoftLayer IP Backbone :: Looking Glass page:
    • In the Command field, select Ping.
    • In the Select Location and Router field, select the location that you want to test.
    • In the Target Address/Subnet or Hostname field, type the IP address of the system that is doing the testing. You may have to consult your system administrator.
    • Click I am not a robot, and then click Execute:

  4. The results appear on the bottom of the page:
