Authoring reports with Report Builder

By using the Report Builder component of Jazz® Reporting Service, you can access a collection of ready-made reports and run them with your project data. You can build your own reports to view artifacts from across your projects, including the ones that use configurations. Export the reports to different formats, such as spreadsheets, document-style reports, or image files.

Using Report Builder to report on versioned artifacts in configurations in requirements management (RM) and quality management (QM) project areas is available with limitations. See Reporting on data in configurations with Report Builder and this Jazz.net article for more information.

Since version 6.0.3, reporting on model information from Rational® Rhapsody® Design Management has been in technology preview. Do not enable this legacy preview. This technology will not be supported. Without the preview, you can report on DM artifacts by writing SPARQL queries in the Advanced section of Report Builder. If you are the administrator and if you still decide to enable the technology preview, read about it in this topic, and ensure that you don't use this technology preview in a production environment.

Starting in version 6.0.6, a new Lifecycle Query Engine (LQE) solution is available for evaluation purposes in test environments. If you administrator enabled the technology preview, go to this article on Jazz.net to learn more about LQE with property graph technology.
