Associating Global Configuration with the current module version

An administrator or a user with the database manager role can associate the current version of the module with Global Configuration (GC).

About this task

Only one GC can be associated with the current version of the module.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DOORS® , and create a module, such as test1.
  2. Go to File > Module Properties.
    The module properties window for the module that you created is shown.
  3. Click the Global configuration tab, and make sure that the Enable Global configuration checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Current Version to select the current version of the module to associate the GC with, and click Add.
    The Select the Configuration Context window opens.
  5. Select GC from the Select GC Server list.
    The OAuth Login-DOORS window is shown.
  6. Complete the user authentication for the server that you selected by entering the User ID and Password in the User ID and Password fields, and click Log In.
    All the project areas for the server that you selected, and their respective GC components are listed in the Select the Configuration Context window.
  7. Select the Global Configuration that you want to associate with the current version, and click Add.
  8. Click OK or Apply to save the changes.
    Important: If you try to associate one more GC with the current version of a module, the following error message is shown:
