Loading and unloading units

When you open a Rhapsody® project, you can specify in the Open window whether to load the subunits contained in the project. If you elect to load the project without its subunits, you can later load individual subunits.

Procedure

  1. To load a unit, right‑click the subunit in the browser to display the menu and select Load [unit name], or select Load [unit name] with Subunits to load the unit together with all its subunits.
  2. To unload a unit, right‑click the subunit in the browser and select Unit > Unload [unit name].
    Note:
    Units that are not currently loaded are indicated by (U) before the unit name in the browser.

Preventing loading of unit next time project is opened

Procedure

  1. In the browser, right‑click the unit and select Unit > Edit Unit.
  2. In the Unit Information window, clear the Include in next load check box.
    Note: If you cleared the Include in next load check box for a unit, the unit will not be loaded if you open the project using the MRU list under the File menu or if you select the Restore Last Session option when opening the project in the Open window. However, if you select the With all Subunits or Without Subunits options in the Open window, the Include in next load setting will be ignored.

Loading units from last session

If you want to load only those units that were open during your last Rhapsody session, select the Restore Last Session option in the Open window when you open the project. Note that if you open the project by selecting its name from the MRU list under the File menu, Rhapsody loads only those units that were open when you completed your last session.
