Integrating Rhapsody and ClearCase

Rhapsody supports configuration management tools, including ClearCase , in either of two main modes: Batch and SCC.

This section discusses the Rhapsody and ClearCase integration, mostly in Batch mode. To determine which mode might be best for your situation, review the related topic on the comparison of batch and Microsoft Source Code Control (SCC) modes.

To customize Rhapsody and ClearCase you can use the many properties available in the ConfigurationManagement::ClearCase metaclass from the Properties tab in the Features window. Examples of properties in ConfigurationManagement::ClearCase:
  • AddMember - use this property to specify the command to use to add an item to the archive.
  • ReadWrite - use this property to specify how to embed a ReadWrite flag in the configuration management command.
  • UnLockItem - use this property to specify the command used to release a lock placed on an item in the archive.

For information about ClearCase , see the ClearCase product documentation.
