Creating model elements

You can use a project to add elements and define your model, such as packages, classes, and diagrams.

About this task

You can also add to model elements UML constraints that provide information about model elements concerning requirements, in variants, and so on. IBM® Engineering Systems Design Rhapsody® captures them in text format.

A file is a graphical representation of a specification (.h) or implementation (.c) source file. This model element enables you to use functional modeling and take advantage of the capabilities of Rhapsody (modeling, execution, code generation, and reverse engineering), without radically changing the existing files.

Procedure

  1. Right-click an element and then select Add New. A submenu that lists all the elements that can be added at the current location in the project hierarchy is displayed.
  2. Select the element you want to add.

To add elements from a graphic editor, use the drawing tools to draw the element in the diagram.

To modify an element, see the other procedures in this section.
