Archiving a project to send to another developer

At times, you might want to archive a project to send it to another developer or to IBM® Rational® Software Support.

To create a complete archive, include the following files and directories in the backup project:

  • <Project>.rpyx file (or .rpy before version 8.3)
  • <Project>_rpy directory with all subdirectories
  • <Component> directories
  • Any external source files (.h and .cpp) needed to compile the project
