Adding structure diagrams to models

Structure diagrams model the structure of a composite class; any class or object that has an object model diagram can have a structure diagram. In addition, a structure diagram supports some of the features supported by an object model diagram and uses the properties defined in the ObjectModelGE subject.

Object model diagrams focus more on the specification of classes, whereas structure diagrams focus on the instances used in the model. Although you can put classes in structure diagrams and objects in the object model diagram, the toolbars for the diagrams are different to allow a distinction between the specification of the system and its structure.

The following figure shows a structure diagram.
