Getting started
The Work Item synopsis agent generates concise synopses of complex, long-running tasks, defects, and features, including key context, progress, and risks. It is designed to help engineers to save time ramping up as they switch contexts, teams to communicate more effectively, and managers to gain clearer visibility into ongoing work
To use the Work Item synopsis agent, you must do the following based on your role:
- Engineering Workflow Management administrator
- Configure the server to add the Engineering AI Hub URL to the allowlist. See Configuring Engineering Workflow Management server for Work Item synopsis agent.
- Project area administrator
- Create the required attribute and add a Synopsis tab for the required work item types in all project areas, for which you want to make the Work Item synopsis agent available. See Configuring project area.
- Engineering Workflow Management user
- Generate and edit synopses directly from a work item, with each edit captured in the History tab for traceability. See Generating work item synopsis.
