Use the Engineering Assistant widget in DOORS Next to ask questions about your requirements and receive AI-generated responses.

Before you begin

Add the Engineering Assistant widget to DOORS Next. For more information, see Configuring the widget for requirement quality analysis..

Procedure

  1. Log in to DOORS Next.
  2. In the Mini Dashboard, open the Engineering Assistant widget and click Log in.
  3. In DOORS Next, click the Artifacts tab and browse to the requirements that you want to check. You can also select requirements from within a View.
  4. To analyze specific requirements, select the checkboxes next to the requirements and enter your question in the widget.
  5. To search all requirements in the current view, enter your question directly in the widget without selecting any checkboxes.
  6. In the widget, you can start by selecting a Quick start question or type your own question.
    For example, to summarize the selected requirements:
    1. In the widget, prompt the agent by selecting Summarize the selected requirements from the suggested questions, or type your own question to summarize the requirement.
    2. In the requirements view, select the checkboxes next to the requirements you want to summarize.
    3. In the widget, submit the Summarize the selected requirements prompt to run the analysis.
  7. To view the sources of the response generated by the agent, click Sources at the end of the response in the widget.
    You can view the list of requirements from which the agent retrieved the response.
    1. To highlight the requirement in the module view, click the requirement. This action helps you locate and review the requirement in context.
