Configuring security certificates

The Jazz® Team Server includes a self-signed certificate for SSL with the Liberty server. When Jazz Security Architecture SSO is enabled on the Jazz Team Server, the Jazz Authorization Server also includes a self-signed security certificate. You can also import an existing certificate from one instance of ELM Liberty to another ELM Liberty instance.

Some browsers and clients might display a warning when accessing your Jazz repository. To stop the warnings, complete one of these options:
  • Purchase a certificate from a well-known trusted Certificate Authority and install it.
  • If you do not need encryption, configure the server for HTTP rather than HTTPS access.
  • For information about resolving the certificate error in the Edge and Chrome browser, see ELM self-signed certificate shows as insecure on browser.
