Upgrading optional tools, clients, and reporting artifacts

After you upgrade the server to the latest version, you can upgrade the clients and any optional tools or additional components.

  • Upgrading Rational Team Concert clients for Microsoft Visual Studio and Eclipse IDE
    If you are upgrading from a version 4 release of the client, you can use the Update option in IBM® Installation Manager to upgrade the client.
  • Upgrading Jazz Build Engine
    If you are upgrading from a version 3 release, you can use the Update option in IBM Installation Manager to upgrade the build engine. If you are upgrading from a version 2 release, you must first uninstall the version 2 build engine and then use the Install option in IBM Installation Manager to install the latest version.
