Importing JDBC connection from local machine

Using the JDBC Gateway administrative console, you can import repositories and JDBC library settings from the user’s local machine. The repositories and JDBC library settings are imported as a settings.zip file.

Before you begin

The JDBC Gateway must be installed. See Installing JDBC Gateway .

Ensure that the user has permission to the JDBC Gateway administrative console.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to import the repositories and JDBC library settings from the User's local machine:

  1. In the JDBC Gateway administrative console, select File > Import.
  2. Select Repositories and JDBC library settings from the list of available import options and click Next. The Import Repositories and JDBC Library Settings page displays.
  3. On the Import Repositories and JDBC Library Settings page, enter the following details:
    1. Browse: use Browse to locate import file from the user’s local machine.
    2. Import categories: Select the check box of the categories you want to import.
    3. Conflict resolving: In the Conflict resolving area, specify how you want to resolve the conflicts with previous settings files.

      Select Override existing settings to replace all conflicting information with new information.

      Select Keep existing settings to not update any existing information with new information.

      Select Manually resolve conflicts to open the Conflicts window to manually resolve conflicts between existing and new details.

      For each conflict you can specify whether you want to overwrite the current settings or keep them.

      Click the Manually resolve conflicts button.

  4. Click Finish. The Conflicts page displays.
  5. On the Conflicts page, manually resolve conflicts. For each conflict, select the conflict and specify whether you want to overwrite them and click OK. A warning message displays indicating that the application restart is required to unload removed libraries and unlock the driver files.
  6. Click OK in the warning message box. The Import Results page displays.
  7. Click OK to import the repositories and JDBC library settings from the user’s local machine.
