Configuring alternate started task ID

About this task

You can configure the parameter ALTSTARTEDTASKID to build or update the metadata cache in the Data Virtualization Manager. When this ID is configured, the server always uses this ID during startup for any metadata cache refresh queries. Normal user queries, that use DRDA, use the primary user id and password.

Procedure

  1. Add the following line to the IN00 file. 
    
MODIFY PARM NAME(ALTSTARTEDTASKID) VALUE(ID)
    In the above line, ID is the alternate started task id.
  2. Restart the server to make the changes effect.

Results

Verify the configuration of the parameter ALTSTARTEDTASKID in the server trace. To open the server trace, select option B Server Trace from the ISPF primary menu.
