Manually restoring configuration settings
Basic library settings are established at initial installation. Thereafter, you can manually update and restore the system settings.
Restriction: If a safeguarded logical library exists, you must be onsite and locally
connected to the library to modify the protected logical library and cartridges.
To manually restore configuration settings, complete the following tasks by referring to the specified sections, which are found under the topics in the management GUI help :
- Restore the logical library configuration. See .

- Reassign all the drives in the previous frames to the new frame number. See .
- Restore the drive control path. See .
- Restore the VOLSER and assign them to the correct logical libraries. See .
