Creates a new non-VSAM file.

Operands

DSName
The name of a new partitioned or sequential data set.

Usage notes

  • ICREA may be entered at any time from any panel.
  • When you specify a name of an existing cataloged data set, its relevant attributes will be displayed.
  • All data set attributes, including the fully qualified name, may be overridden.
  • When you specify a PDSE with more than 0 member generations, a Data Set Version of 2 is assumed.
