Installation requirements

The following system software is required for the installation and operation of Data Set Commander Version 9.1:

  • z/OS® Version 2 Release 1 or later operating systems

Installing Data Set Commander does not require an IPL or authorized mode. Since Data Set Commander is invoked through libraries pointed to by the TSO LOGON procedure or CLIST, you can install it on a system-wide basis or only for selected programmers.

Data Set Commander code is fully reentrant. Most of Data Set Commander code resides above the 16- megabyte line. Most working storage that Data Set Commander uses is also acquired above the line.
