Resource groups

Resource groups define a collection of resources and associate a set of policies relative to how the resources are configured and managed.

Resource groups are used to define a collection of resources and associate a set of policies relative to how the resources are configured and managed. You can define a network user account so that it has authority to manage a specific set of resources groups.

A Copy Services request issued by a host is directed to a specific address on the host I/O fabric, such as SCSI or FICON, and is referred to as the connection device. The destination logical volume can be the logical volume associated with the connection device or a different logical volume.
