lsaccess

The lsaccess command displays the access settings of the primary and backup hardware management consoles (HMCs).

Parameters

-s
(Optional) Displays only attributes that are identified as short output. You cannot use the -s and the -l parameters together.
-l
(Optional) Displays default output plus extra attributes that are identified as long output. You cannot use the -l and the -s parameters together.
-hmc 1 | 2 | all

Report field definitions

hmc*
Displays the HMC identifier.
cmdline
Indicates whether the command line interface is enabled or disabled for service access through an Internet or VPN connection. If the client is not connected to an HMC, a dash (-) indicates that the information is not available.

This field is for service access only and is not related to access to the storage system through the DS CLI.

wui
Indicates whether the Web user interface (WUI) is enabled or disabled for service access through an Internet or VPN connection. If the client is not connected to an HMC, a dash (-) indicates that the information is not available.
aos
Indicates whether the setting for Assist On-Site (aos) is enabled or disabled for connection to the HMC for IBM® service. If the client is not connected to an HMC or if the query is not supported by the server, a dash (-) indicates that the information is not available.
vpn+
Indicates the connection status (enabled or disabled) of the outbound VPN connection. A status of enabled means that a VPN connection exists, and a status of disabled means that a VPN connection does not exist. Indicates whether the modem is enabled or disabled for access through an Internet or VPN connection. If the client is not connected to an HMC, a dash (-) indicates that the information is not available.
Note: Starting with DS8000® Release 8.0, VPN is no longer available as a remote support connectivity option for call home and remote access functions.
rsc
Indicates the connection status (enabled or disabled) of the remote support center service.
  • Enabled - the remote support center service is started.
  • Disabled - the remote support center service is stopped.

If the client is not connected to an HMC, or the HMC is not running rsc, a dash (-) indicates unknown status.

cim
Indicates the access status (enabled or disabled) of the CIM agent on the HMC. If the client is not connected to an HMC, a dash (-) indicates that the information is not available.
modem
Indicates whether the modem is enabled or disabled for access through an Internetor VPN connection. If the client is not connected to an HMC, a dash (-) indicates that the information is not available.
Note: Starting with DS8000 Release 8.0, the modem is no longer available as a remote support connectivity option for call home and remote access functions.
