The resources that are allocated for the processor complex and memory is split 50/50 percent for the default configuration.
In the DS8300 Model 9A2/9B2, each processor complex has four processors and up to 128 GB memory capacity. There is also a default 50/50 percent split for processor and memory allocation. The split can be reconfigured with variable LPAR implementation. Therefore, every LPAR has two processors and every storage image has four processors.
The memory limit depends on the total amount of available memory in the whole system. The following memory allocations per storage image are available:
