Performance summary details

The performance summary is a CSV file that contains performance information about your storage system.

The performance summary items in the following tables are presented in the order in which they appear in the CSV file.

Note:

The columns in CSV file are subject to change their position. Any tool or script that automatically reads the content of CSV file required to find the columns by name and not by position.

Errors (count) Total Total of data transmission errors that were detected on the port.
Errors (count) Frame Errors Total of Fibre Channel frames that were received but not consistent with Fibre Channel protocol. A frame is a string of transmission words that are prefixed by an SOF delimiter and followed by an EOF delimiter.
Errors (count) Link Failure Total of failures that were caused by broken connectivity with the Fibre Channel port. This type of error can occur when the system connected to the port is restarted, replaced, or serviced and the Fibre Channel cable that is connected to the port is temporarily disconnected. It could also indicate a faulty connector or cable. Link failures result in degraded performance of the Fibre Channel port until the failure is fixed.
Errors (count) Loss of Sync Total of errors that were caused by a synchronization loss error on the Fibre Channel link. This type of error can occur when the system connected to the port is restarted, replaced, or serviced and the Fibre Channel cable connected to the port is temporarily disconnected. It could also indicate a faulty connector or cable. If a synchronization loss error persists, it can result in a link failure error.
Errors (count) Loss of Signal Total of errors that were caused by a loss of signal on the Fibre Channel link. This type of error can occur when the system connected to the port is replaced, or serviced and the Fibre Channel cable connected to the port is temporarily disconnected. It could also indicate a faulty connector or cable. If a loss of signal error persists, it can result in a link failure error.
Errors (count) CRC Error Total of errors that were caused by a Fibre Channel frame that was received with cyclic redundancy check (CRC) errors. This type of error is usually fixed when the frame is retransmitted. This type of error is usually recoverable and does not degrade system performance, unless the error persists and data cannot be relayed after retransmission.
Errors (count) Primitive Sequence Protocol Error Total of primitive sequence protocol errors. A primitive sequence is an ordered set that is transmitted and repeated continuously to indicate specific conditions within the port. The set might also indicate conditions that are encountered by the receiver logic of the port. This type of error occurs when an unexpected primitive sequence is received.
Errors (count) Invalid Transmission Word Total of bit errors. A transmission word is the smallest transmission unit that is defined in Fibre Channel. This unit consists of four transmission characters, 4 x 10 or 40 bits. This type of error can include code violations, invalid special code alignment, and disparity errors.
Errors (count) Link Reset Transmitted Total of errors that were caused by changing the state of the Fibre Channel port from active (AC) to link recovery (LR1) state.
Errors (count) Link Reset Received Total of errors that were caused by changing the state of the Fibre Channel port from active (AC) to link recovery (LR2) state.
Errors (count) Out of Order Data Total of errors that were caused by a missing frame. The frame was either missing from a data sequence or it was received beyond the Fibre Channel port's sequence reassembly threshold.
Errors (count) Out of Order ACK Total of errors that were caused by an out of order acknowledgment (ACK) frame. ACK frames signify that the transmission was received. The frame was either missing from a data sequence or it was received beyond the Fibre Channel port's sequence reassembly threshold.
Errors (count) Duplicate Frame Total of errors by frames that were received but were detected as previously processed.
Errors (count) Invalid Relative Offset Total of errors by frames that were received with an invalid relative offset parameter in the frame header.
