Data-movement daily report
A daily data-movement activity report provides information about how workload that Easy Tier® manages changes over time.
Use the data movement daily report for the following activities:
- Validate how configuration changes are reported by Easy Tier:
- When a new tier is added, expect to see hot data that is promoted to a high performance storage tier.
- When an existing tier is expanded when ranks are added, expect to see auto rebalance changes.
- Validate how workload changes are reported by Easy Tier:
- When a new data workload migrates in an extent pool, you should
expect to see more data that is promoted or
cooler
warm data that is demoted if the upper storage tier is overloaded. - When a data workload migrates out of an extent pool, you should expect to see more data that is demoted.

You can download the data movement report report by using the Export Easy Tier Summary option available from the Export icon on the System page.
