This information describes removing and recycling batteries at the product's end of life.

Attention:
  • The following instructions are for end of life battery management only. For safety reasons, the battery should be serviced only by professionals.
  • These procedures are not done under normal service operations by an IBM® service representative. These procedures must be completed only by personnel who are authorized to recycle or dismantle components.
