Flexibility Class DS8A10
The DS8A10 Flexibility Class is a perfect balance between performance, capacity and cost to support a variety of workloads.
IBM DS8A10 Model A01
The IBM DS8A10 Model A01 is a racked flexibility-class solution delivering the following features:
  • Two 8-core processors per CEC for a total of 20 cores per system
  • Power 9+ PCIe Gen 4 CECs
  • A maximum of 192 flash cards (four HPFE Gen 3 pa)
  • 256 GB or 512 GB processor memory per system
  • Up to 16 host adapters or 64 ports
  • 42U, 19-inch rack
  • Single-phase and three-phase support
Agility Class DS8A50

IBM DS8A50 Model A05
The IBM DS8A50 Model A05 is a racked agility-class solution delivering the following features:
  • Two 20-core processor per CEC for a total of 40-core per system
  • Power 9+ PCIe Gen 4 CECs
  • A maximum of 192 flash cards (four HPFE Gen 3)
  • 1 TB, 2 TB or 3.5 TB processor memory per system
  • Up to 16 host adapters or 64 ports
  • 42U, 19-inch rack
  • Single-phase and three-phase support
IBM DS8A00 Model E05
The IBM DS8A00 Model E05 is an expansion for DS8A50 Model A05 that can be attached to a 40- core system to enable:
  • Up to 192 flash cards (four HPFE Gen 3) for a total of 384 flash drives (eight HPFE Gen 3) per system
  • Up to 16 host adapters or 64 ports for a total of 32 host adapters or 128 ports per system
  • 42U, 19-inch rack
  • Single-phase and three-phase support
