Clusters
A host cluster allows you to group hosts of the same type to facilitate changes to those hosts. For example, with host clustering, you can add, modify, or delete volume maps for multiple hosts in a single operation.
Host cluster properties
You can view the properties of a host cluster by right-clicking a host cluster name on the Hosts page and clicking Properties.
- Name
- The name of the cluster.
- State
- The online or offline state of the cluster.
- Addressing mode
- The method that is used by a host to discover the LUNs that are available to its host ports (for example, SCSI map, SCSI mask, or OS/400® mask).
- Hosts
- The number of hosts contained in the cluster.
- Volumes
- Displays the number of volumes in the cluster.
