Parameters

storage_image_ID | -
(Required) The storage image ID. A storage image ID consists of a manufacturer, machine type, and serial number.
If you use the dash (-), the specified value is read from standard input. However, you cannot use the dash (-) while you are in the DS CLI interactive command mode.

Output definitions

Name
The name that you assigned to the storage system.
Desc
The value that you assigned as a description for the storage system.
ID
The storage image ID that consists of the manufacture, machine type, and serial number.
Storage Unit
The storage system ID that consists of the manufacture, machine type, and serial number.
Model
The model number that is associated with the storage system.
WWNN
The worldwide node name that is assigned to the storage system.
Signature
The machine signature that is represented by 12 hexadecimal digits in the format xxxx-xxxx-xxxx.
State
The status of the storage system. One of the following values are displayed:
Online
The storage system is available to process all functions.
Offline
The storage system is not capable of processing any functions.
Resuming
The storage system is starting to come online.
Quiescing
The storage system is starting to go offline.
Quiesce Exception
The storage system is in the quiesce exception state.
Forced Quiescing
The storage system is starting a force offline operation.
Fenced
The storage system has failed and is offline.
Discovery
The storage system is determining which physical configurations are available and updates itself when it discovers new hardware.
ESSNet
The storage-complex ESSNet user interface can start Copy Services operations to this storage image. Enabled or Disabled are the values that are displayed in this field.
Volume Group
The ESSNet Copy Services Volume Group ID or displays a " - " in this field.

If ESSNet Copy Services operations are enabled, the value that is displayed in this field specifies the ESSNet Copy Services type volume group. This volume group contains the logical volumes that can be controlled by Copy Services operations that are initiated through the ESSNet.

If ESSNet Copy Services operations are enabled and the ESSNet Copy Services Volume Group ID is not specified (represented by the " - " value in this field), all logical volumes are eligible to be controlled by Copy Services operations that are initiated through the ESSNet.

NVS Memory
The amount in gigabytes (GB) of nonvolatile storage (NVS) memory that is configured on the storage system. Example 16.0 GB.
Cache Memory
The amount in gigabytes (GB) of cache memory that is configured on the storage system. This memory equals the processor memory less the memory that is required for the operating system (varies with Licensed Internal Code level), NVS, and the tables that are required to manage the cache memory.
Processor Memory
The amount in gigabytes (GB) of processor memory that is configured on the storage system. Processor memory equals the installed memory less the reserved memory requirements, including firmware memory, and varies with the model, the configuration, and the Licensed Internal Code level.
MTS
The order type of the storage system. The order type varies according to the warranty periods that are associated with the storage system.
numegsupported
The number of key groups that are supported.
ETAutoMode
The automatic mode of the Easy Tier® LIC feature when the Easy Tier feature is active. The manual mode is always active if the Easy Tier LIC feature is active.
all
The Easy Tier automatic mode is active on all pools.
tiered
The Easy Tier automatic mode is active only on pools with multiple tiers.
none
The Easy Tier automatic mode is not active on any pools.
-
The Easy Tier feature, both automatic and manual modes, is not supported.
ETMonitor
If volumes are monitored by the Easy Tier LIC feature.
all
Easy Tier monitors all of the volumes on the system, regardless of the state of the Easy Tier LIC feature.
automode
Easy Tier monitors only those volumes that are managed by the Easy Tier automatic mode as specified by the -etautomode parameter.
none
Easy Tier monitors none of the volumes on the system.
-
The Easy Tier feature is not supported.
ETCCMode
Easy Tier cooperative caching. The Easy Tier cooperative caching function is also known as Easy Tier Server.
Note: Starting with Release 8, the etccmode parameter is no longer supported.
Enabled
All volumes are allowed to participate in Easy Tier cooperative caching. Only volumes that are monitored by Easy Tier can participate in Easy Tier cooperative caching.
Disabled
No volumes are allowed to participate in Easy Tier cooperative caching.
The system does not support Easy Tier cooperative caching.
ETHMTMode
If the Easy Tier heat map transfer feature is enabled on this storage facility image.
Enabled
The Easy Tier heat map transfer is enabled.
Disabled
The Easy Tier heat map transfer feature is not enabled.
The storage system does not support the Easy Tier heat map transfer feature.
ETSRMode
If space is reserved for Easy Tier data migration.
Enabled
Easy Tier space reservation control is enabled. Enable is the default, which specifies that the required space for Easy Tier to do storage optimization actions is pre-reserved in each pool. The reserved space is counted as the pool overhead, and usually it is only a small amount of the space.
Disabled
Easy Tier space reservation control is disabled. This value specifies that space is not pre-reserved for Easy Tier to do storage optimization actions. Ensure that you leave enough space in the storage pool for Easy Tier processing. If you select disable and the pool does not have enough free space, Easy Tier stops running storage optimization actions.
-
A dash (-) displays if the storage system does not support the Easy Tier space reservation function.
ETAutoModeAccel
The setting (enable or disable) of the Easy Tier Automatic Mode Acceleration control. When set to enabled, the maximum amount of data that Easy Tier can automatically migrate in a given amount of time is doubled. This occurrence might cause your existing workload to experience increased latency and decreased bandwidth while migration occurs.
Note: Set this value to disable after data that Easy Tier migrates is redistributed.
ETTierOrder
The order in which drive classes are chosen when capacity is allocated in pools.

A dash (-) displays if the storage system does not support the Easy Tier allocation method.
