lsaccess

The lsaccess command displays the access settings of the primary and backup hardware management consoles (HMCs).

Parameters

-s
(Optional) Displays only attributes that are identified as short output. You cannot use the -s and the -l parameters together.
-l
(Optional) Displays default output plus extra attributes that are identified as long output. You cannot use the -l and the -s parameters together.
-hmc 1 | 2 | all

Output definitions

hmc*
The HMC identifier.
cmdline
The status, enabled or disabled, of the command line interface for service access through an Internet or VPN connection. If the client is not connected to an HMC, a dash (-) indicates that the information is not available.

This field is for service access only and is not related to access to the storage system through the DS CLI.

wui
The status, enabled or disabled, of the Web user interface (WUI) for service access through an Internet or VPN connection. If the client is not connected to an HMC, a dash (-) indicates that the information is not available.
modem
The status, enabled or disabled, of the modem for access through an Internet or VPN connection. If the client is not connected to an HMC, a dash (-) indicates that the information is not available.
Note: Starting with DS8000 Release 8.0, the modem is no longer available as a remote support connectivity option for call home and remote access functions.
cim
(Unsupported) The status, enabled or disabled, of access for the CIM agent on the HMC. If the client is not connected to an HMC, a dash (-) indicates that the information is not available.
Note: Starting with DS8000 Release 9.0, the CIM is no longer available.
aos+
The status, enabled or disabled, of Assist On-Site (aos) for connection to the HMC for service. If the client is not connected to an HMC or if the query is not supported by the server, a dash (-) indicates that the information is not available.
rsc+
The status, enabled or disabled, of the remote support center service.
  • Enabled - the remote support center service is started.
  • Disabled - the remote support center service is stopped.
If the client is not connected to an HMC, or the HMC is not running rsc, a dash (-) indicates unknown status.
vpn+
The status, enabled or disabled, of the outbound VPN connection. A status of enabled means that a VPN connection exists, and a status of disabled means that a VPN connection does not exist. Indicates whether the modem is enabled or disabled for access through an Internet or VPN connection. If the client is not connected to an HMC, a dash (-) indicates that the information is not available.
Note: Starting with DS8000 Release 8.0, VPN is no longer available as a remote support connectivity option for call home and remote access functions.
