Changing your password

Change your password according to the frequency determined by your system administrator.

About this task

Passwords must meet the following criteria:

  • Must contain at least one alphanumeric character (a-z, A-Z, and 0-9), and at least one symbol from the following group: !@#$%&*().
  • Cannot contain the user name.
  • Passwords are case-sensitive.
  • The length of the password is determined by the administrator.

Procedure

To change your password, select the Modify Password action from the User menu in the DS8000 Storage Management GUI.
The User menu, which displays your user name, is located in the upper right corner of the DS8000 Storage Management GUI.
