Creating the WOLA load library

To obtain decisions from the Operational Decision Manager on WebSphere Liberty for a COBOL or PL/I application, the JCL must reference a WOLA load library.

Before you begin

To create that WOLA load library, ensure that:
  • Your value for ++HBRWOLALOADLIB++ is correct in HBRINST, and that you have submitted HBRUUPTI to create the WebSphere Liberty working datasets.
  • You have completed steps to deploy Operational Decision Manager to the WebSphere Liberty server.
  • You have not commented out the WOLA Web Application in ++WLPUSERDIR++/Servers/++WLPSERVER++/server.xml.

To obtain optimized local adapters for Liberty, go to Securing optimized local adapters on Liberty for z/OS External link opens a new window or tab.

About this task

The product install contains a UNIX System Services (USS) directory with files that need to become members in that WOLA load library. The following procedure describes how to create the WOLA load library for use by COBOL and PL/I client applications.

Procedure

  1. Submit ++HBRWORKDS++.SHBRJCL(HBRDSWOL)
  2. Review the job output and ensure that the WOLA loadlib is created at the location specified by ++HBRWOLALOADLIB++

Results

The WebSphere Liberty profile does not require the script to install a rar file or a web application.
