Step 9: Verifying your rule execution environment configuration

You can use the diagnostics feature in the Rule Execution Server console to verify that you have successfully configured your new instance or server group.

Note:

When you run diagnostics, the tests show Local XU connectivity connectivity in a warning state. These warnings are normal because the execution units (XUs) are registered via TCP/IP. Therefore the local diagnostics do not executed the steps RuleSession Execution and RuleSession Second Execution because they depend on Local XU connectivity.

Procedure

  1. Display the Rule Execution Server console by opening a browser and navigating to http://<hostname>:++HBRPORT++/res, where hostname is the TCP/IP name of the z/OS® machine where you are running the server and ++HBRPORT++ is one of the following port numbers:
    • For zRule Execution Server for z/OS, the HTTP port that is used by the console to communicate with the server.
    • For the WebSphere Liberty server, the port number on the WebSphere Liberty server installation.
  2. Sign in to the Rule Execution Server console by using a user ID in the resAdministrators group. If you cannot sign in, make sure that you have the required authorization.
  3. For the new server instance or for each server in the server group:
    1. Click the Diagnostics tab.
    2. Click Run Diagnostics.
      A report lists the diagnostic tests that completed.
    3. Click Expand All to view the details.
