Updating a monitoring profile in ISPF

If you update a monitoring profile while it is in use, you must refresh the monitoring profile after it has been updated in order for your changes to be implemented.

Procedure

To update a monitoring profile in ISPF:

  1. On the IBM DB2 Query Monitor for z/OS panel (the main menu), specify option 8, and press Enter.
  2. On the Monitoring Profiles panel, issue the U line command next to the monitoring profile that you want to update.
  3. On the Update Monitoring Profile pop-up panel, optionally edit the Exclude QM Plans, QM Plan#1, QM Plan#2, and QM Plan#3 fields as necessary. Then, press Enter.

  4. On the Update Monitoring Profile panel, update the monitoring profile lines as needed. See Creating and updating monitoring profile lines in ISPF.

  5. Exit the panel (PF3) to save your changes.
  6. If the monitoring profile is in use, refresh it to implement your changes. See Refreshing a monitoring profile.
