Configuring consumer visibility
About this task
As an administrator, you can restrict the visibility of consumers to other consumers to protect the identity of your consumers.
By default, Developer Portal restricts the view of consumers to other consumers. You can modify this default behavior from the General section of the Administration module.
To configure the visibility of consumers
- Expand the menu options and click Administration.
- Select General.
- Select one of the following options from the
Visibility of consumers to other consumers field:
- None. Restricts all consumers from viewing the other consumers.
- Only to the consumers who belong to their communities. Allows the view of a consumer to only the consumers who are part of their communities.
- All consumers. Allows the view of a consumer to all other consumers.
Note: Independent of the option selected in this field, the consumer name or user name is displayed with the topics and comments that they post on assets. - Click Save.
