DataPower Interact Gateway components
DataPower Interact Gateway (IDIG) platform consists of the following components.
DataPower Nano Gateway
DataPower® Nano Gateway is the runtime component of IBM DataPower Interact Gateway. It processes requests and enforces policies for MCP server and LLM API interactions.
DataPower Nano Gateway is
deployed by default as part of every DataPower Interact
Gateway
(IDIG) cluster. With DataPower Nano Gateway, you can:
- Expose endpoints for MCP tools and LLM provider APIs.
- Process MCP and LLM provider API requests.
- Enforce policies to secure and control traffic.
- Send runtime metrics and events to Analytics.
Developer Portal
Developer Portal is the consumer-facing component of DataPower Interact Gateway for discovering and subscribing to MCP tools and LLM APIs.
You can enable Developer Portal during
IDIG cluster deployment. With Developer Portal,
consumers can:
- Discover available MCP tools and LLM provider APIs.
- Subscribe to AI assets.
- Obtain credentials and access information.
- Invoke enterprise capabilities and LLM provider APIs.
Analytics
Analytics is the monitoring component of DataPower Interact Gateway. It provides visibility into AI interactions.
You can enable Analytics during IDIG
cluster deployment. With Analytics, you can:
- Monitor MCP and LLM provider API usage.
- Track performance of AI assets.
- Analyze AI consumption trends.
- Identify factors that contribute to AI-related costs.
- Troubleshoot and optimize AI interactions.
