Monitoring MCP tools and LLM APIs using Analytics
Monitor MCP server and LLM API usage with DataPower Interact Gateway Analytics.
Analytics provides visibility into MCP server and LLM API activity by collecting and processing event data from DataPower Interact Gateway. You can use Analytics to monitor usage, track performance trends, identify operational issues, and gain insights into MCP and LLM API’s consumption patterns.
Analytics capability includes:
- Monitoring MCP server and LLM API traffic and usage trends.
- Filtering, sorting, and aggregating event data.
- Visualizing event data through charts, tables, and other reports.
- Analyzing MCP server and LLM API’s performance and operational health.
- Supporting business and operational decision-making through usage insights.
The Analytics component can be deployed in either a base configuration or an enhanced configuration. By default, Analytics is deployed with a base profile configuration. For more details, see Deployment profiles. Analytics uses the OpenSearch distributed search and analytics engine to store and process event data. You can use the built-in Analytics capability to monitor DataPower Nano Gateway traffic, or you can offload analytics data to external analytics systems for reporting and analysis across multiple platforms.
