You can customize the Notes® install
kit to add new or third-party features at install or upgrade or to
remove certain supplied features from the kit prior to install or
upgrade using the procedure outlined here.

Procedure
- Customize the Notes install
manifest (deploy\install.xml) to add new or third-party
features or remove certain supplied features.
You can
customize the Notes install
kit to add a signed, third-party feature to the installer or remove
one of the optional installation panel choices from the installer.

- If you are adding a new or third-party feature, sign the
feature and plug-in JAR files and optionally establish signing preferences
in the deploy\plugin_customization.ini file).

- Optionally add features to or remove features from the
supplied Notes install kit.
- If you are adding a new or third-party feature, add the feature
and plug-in JAR files to the correct features and plugins subdirectories
in the Notes install kit's updateSite.zip and
ensure that the update site manifest (site.xml)
correctly lists the contents of those subdirectories.
- If you are removing a supplied feature , remove the feature and
plug-in JAR files from the correct features and plugins subdirectories
in the Notes install kit's updateSite.zip and
ensure that the update site manifest (site.xml)
correctly lists the contents of those subdirectories.
- Test the customized Notes install
